The client had a very steep garden that had been previously designed many years ago with a variety of walls and planting beds utilising the different levels.
The client wanted to update the garden without ripping out the walls & starting again, however they did want to create as much flat space as possible at the top of the garden.
In order to increase the flat space at the top of the garden we extended one of the front walls & put in an additional sleeper wall which also housed the steps. This allowed us to create a larger area of flat space. The walls were updated by adding a render & replacing the paving and coping stone with grey sandstone. The planting beds were streamlined to leave only the 3 structural palm trees; box hedging was added to create some green interest and then surrounded by pebbles.
